Answer:yes — I have tried it with two strings and it works fine. Since this product has a max capacity of 400W, If you are using LED bulbs, you can probably attach 4 or 5 strings without any problem.

yes. mine are LEB bulbs so they don’t draw as much power but i have (2) 24′-0″ long strings connected together and it works fine. they are dimming well and staying on without flicker.

I currently have a 50 foot string of LED lights on mine. I have used a similar switch with multiple strings of LED Christmas lights with no problem.

Answer:The scheduling feature is excellent. You can pick not only times for lights to go on/off but also at what dimming level. I’m not sure if you are asking if you can program it to just know when sunrise/sunset will happen (i.e. like a daylight sensor) but that might be possible when it is connected thru Alexa.

You can through the app: smart – automation – add – when weather changes – sunrise / sunset.

However this is based on data for your city gathered online. There is no light sensor on the switch.

Answer: The default dimmable range is 18%.You need to go to “Setting” to unlock the key and setting the range from 1%-100% by manual.

Question:my dimmable patio lights only have two prongs the dimmer switch is 3 prongs will I have to keep plugging and unplugging incase it rains?
Answer:I haven’t had to. We have our lights and dimmer under the roof of a screened in patio, and while it does get blowing rain every now and then, it hasn’t affected the dimmer at all. This is a really good dimmer. We’ve been very pleased with it.

Answer:Check the application you used to identify the device to Alexa. Also check any Alexa routines you may have created. When this happens to me, it is usually because I had set up a schedule mistakenly in the Smart Home app and Alexa also had the same device scheduled ina routine a bit differently. You should only use one app to control the device.

Answer:If you have a dual band router, the plug will only work on the 2.4ghz band, not 5ghz. Your phone and the device need to be on the same 2.4ghz network to set it up. After that you can still keep your phone on the 5ghz and control the plug if you like. For initial setup, have both on 2.4ghz.

Answer:The watts are not an issue, as this device supports up to 400w. The issue is this plug has dimming capability, which I doubt your landscape light transformer can handle. I would find a standard plug without the dimming function.

Answer:No, it’s purely an electronic switch,it can be turned on and off freely between app,the switch on the plug and remote (if you buy model TE-P008&P009). On ours, we can do anything-turn on with Alexa, then turn off with the app, turn on again with Alexa, then turn off with the switch, turn on with the app, etc. The only limitation is Alexa can only control on-off, only way to adjust brightness is through the app.

Answer:First thing to do to make sure it’s not the lights. Plug them into the outlet instead of the Smart Plug. If they are still flashing, it’s not the Smart Plug. If they aren’t, do a factory reset on the plug and see if they still are,increased the brightness setting to 18%,if the lights still plashes,please contact manufacturer for a replacement.
I’ve never experienced this flashing you talk about and mine come on every night at sun down and stay on until 9:15 (right now that’s just shy of 1.5 hours).

Question:How many led bulbs can this dim? it says 150w for led, does that mean only 150 bulbs?
Answer:You need to know your wattage for whatever LED bulb you’re using, do the math (say if each led bulk is 2W,you can ran 75 bulbs ) and don’t exceed 150W….does that make sense? If you’re using LED, it would take a lot of bulbs to exceed 150W, lighting your backyard will be fine, but you won’t be able to decorate a whole Wal-Mart with string lights off one controller….

If you have a dual band wifi router like most people these days, that does both 2.4 and 5.0, it does not work. I have dozens of smart home devices in my house most of which use 2.4 (that’s the standard for these devices), but the rest all play fine with a dual band router. This one is the exception. But who wants to only broadcast 2.4 as it will dramatically slow down your laptops, streaming devices, etc. Not sure who this product is for if it only works on ancient wifi devices that don’t broadcast in both 2.4 and 5.0 see less
